This website is the product of a vision inspired by our immediate past Moderator and staff. As you explore the site, we pray that you encounter the rich legacy of PBMEDA—a legacy that has sustained us and continues to guide us today.
Our 2026 theme is “A Homecoming,” based on Proverbs 22:28. Throughout the year, we will intentionally invite and honor all living past leaders and delegates during our 2026 events. This season is an opportunity to reflect, reconnect, and revisit practices that have served our District Association well. We will embrace, celebrate, and build upon what has historically worked as we continue to build God’s Kingdom in partnership with our local churches, as well as our state and national conventions.
As you navigate this site, we invite you to note our upcoming events and join us through your participation and support. Our vision for the future is deeply connected to this Homecoming year. By learning from our past successes and strengthening our present efforts, we can strategically prepare for a strong and faithful future.

Our Mission
Faith in Action – Building Lives and Ministries That Last
The Progressive Baptist Missionary Educational District Association (PBMEDA) is dedicated to equipping faith leaders, strengthening congregations, and supporting communities through education, fellowship, and service. Since 1952, we’ve worked to nurture the next generation of ministry and leadership across the West Coast.
Executive Staff:
Auxiliaries and Ministries
Laymen
Supporting State and National men ministries through a collaborative effort with District Churches to bring men to Christ, build men up in Christ, and be instruments for Christ.
Ushers, Nurses & Greeter
Always ready and willing to serve members during the Association’s meetings, demonstrating the skills and knowledge received from various Local, State and National educational workshops.
Children, Youth & Young Adult
Offer learning opportunities to assist in the development of the Association’s future.
Scholarship
Supporting students in improving themselves, their families, their churches and their communities.
Music
Provide appropriate music selections for every meeting session. Mentor the youth and young adult musicians.
Congress of Christian Education
Through seminars, workshops and conferences, provide courses that will not only build up the pastors and churches spiritually but provide helpful courses, like “How AI Impacts Our Lives on a Daily Basis”, “The Need for Estate & Will Planning”, etc.
